Arsenal 2-1 Crystal Palace Player Ratings: Full circle moment as Gabriel Jesus leads Arsenal past Palace

Arsenal secured a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace. However, the performance felt far less comfortable than the scoreline suggested.

Gabriel Jesus opened the scoring, while Noni Madueke added a second. Yet, Jean-Philippe Mateta’s late goal ensured a tense finish.

With rotation in place, this became a game defined by individual displays rather than complete control.

Player Ratings

Kepa Arrizabalaga – 7

Calm in possession and composed throughout. Had little chance with Mateta’s finish.

Riccardo Calafiori – 6

Energetic going forward but lacked quality in the final third.

Piero Hincapié – 7

Strong in duels and read danger well.

Cristhian Mosquera – 7

Dealt well with Palace’s physical threat for most of the game.

Christian Nørgaard – 6

Worked hard out of position. Solid but unspectacular.

Myles Lewis-Skelly – 6

Composed on the ball but had some difficult defensive moments.

Martin Zubimendi – 7

Controlled possession well and dictated tempo.

Noni Madueke – 8

Direct and dangerous. Took his goal confidently.

Max Dowman – 5

Struggled physically and found it hard to influence the game.

Gabriel Martinelli – 6

Lively at times but lacked end product.

Gabriel Jesus – 8

Sharp movement, good link-up play and a well-taken goal. A reminder of his quality.

Substitutes

Gabriel Magalhães – 6

Helped steady things late on.

Eberechi Eze – 7

Bright cameo. Carried the ball well and added energy.

Mikel Merino – 6

Added control in midfield.

Kai Havertz – 6

Gave Arsenal more presence but limited impact.

Viktor Gyökeres – 6

Short cameo; little time to impact proceedings.

What does this mean for Arsenal?

Arsenal got the job done.

However, the late pressure will concern Arteta. Control dropped at the wrong moment, and Palace nearly punished it further.

With bigger games ahead, that balance will need tightening.

But for now, the result stands and Arsenal are your Premier League champions.

matchday.
