  • Morgan Rogers has given his verdict on Arsenal.
  • Mikel Arteta wants Rogers at Arsenal.
  • Noni Madueke suggests the move is on.

Morgan Rogers has emerged as one of Arsenal’s summer transfer targets despite extending his contract until 2031 at Aston Villa last year.

Mikel Arteta is leading Arsenal’s pursuit of Rogers, who has become of the best attacking players in the Premier League under Unai Emery’s stewardship.

The Spaniard has watched the Englishman in close quarters, having faced Aston Villa a number of times since his move to Villa Park in 2024.

With Arsenal holding a longstanding interest in Rogers, the man himself has had his say on the Gunners as well.

Morgan Rogers has already named Arsenal as the best team in the Premier League

Speaking to NBC Sports in December, Rogers admitted there is no shame in Aston Villa losing 4-1 to Arsenal, considering Mikel Arteta’s side are the best team in the Premier League.

“The better team won. That’s why Arsenal are top, they are the best team.”

Rogers had a difficult outing against Arsenal, as the statistics reflect that he could not impose himself on proceedings.

“It’s nothing bad to lose 4-1 to the best team in the league.”

Noni Madueke has dropped hint about Morgan Rogers’ future

Despite Rogers failing to turn heads against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium last time around, it seems like Mikel Arteta’s view on the player being a top-quality fit in his roster did not change.

Even Pep Guardiola admitted Rogers is a brilliant player and the only reason why Manchester City offloaded him is because of having superstars like Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva in their squad at the time.

Noni Madueke hinted at Rogers potentially joining Arsenal by liking an Instagram post where it was mentioned that Mikel Arteta is building an unstoppable team.

It will be interesting to see how Arteta fits the English midfielder in his side if the move came to fruition but there is no questioning the 23-year-old’s quality.
