Mikel Arteta will be racking his brain ahead of the Champions League final as he tries to break down how Arsenal can overcome this PSG juggernaut.

Paul Scholes doubts Arsenal can beat PSG unless they “park the bus” and nick a goal on Saturday. Despite how incredible the Gunners’ backline is, it is easier said than done to subdue Luis Enrique’s elite attack.

Furthermore, while Mikel Arteta can be quite conservative as a tactician, it is rare to see his side not take the game to opponents from the get-go.

Arteta backs Arsenal to defeat PSG, which means his side will do anything but simply sit back and soak pressure on Saturday.

Worrying PSG stat is ideal for Arsenal ahead of Champions League final

According to Opta Analyst, no team in the Champions League this season has committed more errors leading to goals (five) than PSG, which is ideal news for an Arsenal side who like to press opponents high.

PSG fans are confident about trouncing Arsenal but the French side are also responsible for conceding the most shots (26) in Europe’s elite competition after committing errors this campaign.

While many believe PSG are a superior team to Arsenal, such statistics emphasise they also have chinks in their armour. From Mikel Arteta’s standpoint, one player could play a particularly vital role in the final.

Martin Odegaard could play a key role against PSG

The name in question is none other than Martin Odegaard, who often leads the North Londoners’ press.

Odegaard is a tireless runner and if he can force PSG into an error or two, he could very well win Arsenal the Champions League final.

Considering the Norwegian was rested in Arsenal’s previous fixture against Crystal Palace could suggest he may be in line to start proceedings against the Parisians.
