Predicting Arsenal’s 2026 summer transfer window: Two £75m signings and a surprise exit

Share

At a Glance:

  • Arsenal are expected to have another busy summer on the transfer front.
  • The Gunners may move on several players, whilst only bringing in a handful.
  • Here is ReadArsenal’s full summer 2026 transfer window prediction.

The transfer window may only officially open on June 15th, but Arsenal are already mapping out ambitious moves as they look to bolster Mikel Arteta’s squad.

The Gunners were crowned Premier League champions at the end of what was a gruelling 2025/26 season, filled with injury issues and difficult periods of fatigue. Arteta’s side relied on the depth of their squad, with last summer’s £250 million investment in eight players paying dividends.

This time around, a different approach is expected. Rather than adding several pieces to improve the roster’s durability, a handful of high-quality acquisitions are expected to come through the doors at the Emirates.

On the flip side, several players are expected to make way in what is set to be an extremely busy summer. With that said, here is ReadArsenal’s summer 2026 window prediction, including every potential outgoing and incoming, the transfer fees involved, and destinations for these outgoings.

Predicting Arsenal’s outgoings for summer 2026 transfer window

Gabriel Martinelli to Bayern Munich – £45 million

Gabriel Martinelli is expected to leave Arsenal this summer, with just one year remaining on his current deal, and his performances not meriting a new contract. The Brazilian might have struggled in recent seasons in North London, but his stock is still high on the continent, and he is garnering interest.

Several sources have reported that Bayern Munich are considering Martinelli as an option, so this seems the most likely destination for him at the moment. Given Anthony Gordon went to Barcelona for around £70 million, Arsenal would be reasonable in demanding approximately £45 million for the 24-year-old.

Ethan Nwaneri to Como – £35 million

Cesc Fabregas is said to be ‘pushing hard’ to sign Ethan Nwaneri for Como this summer. The Italian club aren’t blessed with enormous financial might, but they have just qualified for the Champions League, which should give them wiggle room to find an adequate replacement for star man Nico Paz.

Nwaneri has unfortunately found himself surplus to requirements at Arsenal, with the likes of Eberechi Eze, Martin Odegaard and Max Dowman arguably ahead of him in the pecking order. The Gunners may therefore see this as the perfect opportunity to cash in.

Como negotiated an interesting deal with Real Madrid for Paz, which included a relatively modest buy-back clause. Arsenal might accept an offer worth around £35 million if they’re able to include a similarly cheap buy-back.

Ben White to Everton – £20 million

After two years of persistent injury issues, it seems as though Ben White’s time at Arsenal is up. He’s 28 and has two years left on his deal, making this a natural time to part ways.

Everton have been loosely linked with White, making this the most logical predicted destination for him. Given the Toffees have Premier League riches, Arsenal should be able to extract at least £20 million from this deal.

Leandro Trossard to Aston Villa – £18 million

Like Martinelli, Trossard has a year left on his contract and is expected to leave as Berta initiates an overhaul of Arsenal’s left wing department. The Belgian has been linked with Turkish clubs Besiktas and Fenerbahce, as well as Aston Villa and Newcastle United.

Arsenal will likely want to sell to one of the latter two sides, given they’re more likely to stump up a significant fee. If they can generate around £20 million for the 31-year-old, then Berta has done well.

Gabriel Jesus to AC Milan – £12 million

Gabriel Jesus is possibly the most obvious sale Arsenal can make this summer. He’s not looked the same physically post ACL-injury, is on extortionate wages and sits third in the Gunners’ striker pecking order.

It’s his salary that is likely to prevent the North London club from obtaining a meaningful sum for Jesus, particularly given where the interest is coming from. Italian and Brazilian clubs have been mooted, and the Gunners will certainly push for the former.

AC Milan centre-forwards Christopher Nkunku, Niklas Fullkrug and Santiago Gimenez all struggled last season, so the famous Serie A club may be in the market for a new striker.

Fabio Vieira to Hamburg – £5 million

Fabio Vieira enjoyed an impressive season on loan at Hamburg in 2025/26. The German club are understood to be keen on keeping hold of the Portuguese playmaker, although they weren’t willing to pay the £19.5 million purchase option included in the temporary agreement.

It’s likely that the two clubs will come to a consensus on a much smaller fee.

Christian Norgaard to Brondby – £3 million

Christian Norgaard’s stint at Arsenal is almost certainly going to end after just 12 months. The Dane hardly featured last season and will therefore be pushing for a move.

He’s previously expressed his desire to return to Denmark, so a reunion with former club Brondby makes some sense.

Reiss Nelson – Loan

Arsenal fans would be forgiven for forgetting Reiss Nelson is still on their books. The Hale End graduate miraculously still has a year remaining on his deal and will return to London Colney for pre-season in a month or so.

The most likely outcome for Nelson is that a club offers to take him on loan for a season come deadline day, and Arsenal accept this offer, merely to get his wages off the bill for the final year of his contract.

Total transfer fee intake: £138 million

Predicting Arsenal’s incomings for summer 2026 transfer window

Bradley Barcola – £75 million

Arsenal need to make a statement left wing signing this summer. Morgan Rogers is being heavily linked, but the Aston Villa man ultimately isn’t a wide player, and the West Midlands club’s excessive price demands are likely to price the Gunners out.

Instead, Berta may end up turning towards Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola. Arsenal have been linked with Barcola, who is surely set to be surplus to requirements at the Parc des Princes.

PSG are understood to be pursuing the likes of Julian Alvarez and Yan Diomande. If either one arrives in Paris, Barcola will find himself behind several players in the pecking order, and a player of this calibre cannot be reduced to being a squad player.

Arsenal must then pounce.

Junior Kroupi – £75 million

If Martinelli, Trossard and Jesus all leave, Arsenal will need at least two new senior attackers. If Barcola is one of them, Berta should then focus on adding a young striker who can develop over the coming years and compete with Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz in the short-term.

Junior Kroupi is the obvious candidate, and Arsenal’s interest is well documented. While Bournemouth will probably quote astronomical figures for Kroupi, a compromise is likely to be reached, possibly in the region of £75 million.

Piero Hincapie – £45 million

The permanent deal for Piero Hincapie is expected to go through at around £45 million.

Marco Palestra – £30 million

Arsenal will need a replacement for White if the defender leaves, and thus far, there have been few concrete links. However, Italian full-back Marco Palestra has been mooted as a target.

He currently belongs to Atalanta, but enjoyed an outstanding season on loan at Cagliari last term. £30 million seems reasonable for a player with his pedigree.

Jeremy Monga – £10 million

Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Jeremy Monga, and a deal on this front seems likely to materialise. The price quoted is around £10 million, so that’s what we have predicted here.

Total spent on transfer fees: £235 million

Net spend: £97 million

As of 5th June, we’re predicting that there will be no movement in midfield. While the likes of Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes are being linked, the emergence of Myles Lewis-Skelly in the middle of the park may prompt Berta and Arteta to reassess and instead allocate more resources to forward reinforcements.

matchday.
