After winning the Premier League title, Arsenal fans have the luxury of debating which one of their players can now be considered a club legend.

Alan Shearer lauded David Raya by naming as the Gunners’ best player this season and the Spaniard certainly has a claim to now be viewed as an icon in N5.

Declan Rice has earned rave reviews since his move to the Emirates Stadium and may have also attained legendary status after becoming a Premier League champion.

However, Arsenal fans on X collectively feel that Bukayo Saka is a club legend.

Arsenal fans say Bukayo Saka is a legend after Premier League triumph

One fan named Saka as well as Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba as potential Arsenal legends while asking fellow supporters to name others: “Who are our new club legends now? Want to say [Martin] Odegaard, Saliba Gabriel and Saka. Idk [I don’t know] if it’s too early feels like they need another PL/UCL [Premier League/Champions League] maybe.”

However, a fan replied by claiming that the English winger stands above the rest: “Just get Saka in all of them, idc [I don’t care] about the rest.”

Another Arsenal fan agreed that with Saka being incredible over the years, he is undoubtedly a club legend over any of his teammates: “Saka before any other player please!”

A fourth Arsenal fan vouched for the 24-year-old due to his impressive productivity and consistency over the years, writing: “Saka’s a club legend already just on pure appearances made, goals, assists, consistent seasonal output and of course, a Prem but the rest a little more years is all that needed.”

While other Arsenal fans also picked Saka’s teammates, the academy graduate was in all their lists, with one supporter stating: “List of Arsenal players that have earned Arsenal legend status with this PL [Premier League] trophy. [Mikel] Arteta, Rice, Saka, Gabriel, Saliba, Raya, Trossard, Odegaard. Undisputed legends at the club.”

Saka even turned up against Atletico Madrid to book Arsenal’s place in the Champions League final and a sixth fan claimed that his status as a club legend is set in stone above others, explaining: “Saka easily, Gabriel, Saliba, Raya and Rice. I think everyone becomes a legend if we win the UCL as well but they all will be loved by me forever even if they aren’t classed as legends.”

Finally, a seventh supporter reacted to the Ealing-born forward’s post in 2020 that read, “Arsenal fans, you deserve more” by commenting: “Bukayo Saka, you are a legend.”

Saka must be over the moon about how the fanbase have collectively hailed him after the Gunners have won the league.

Bukayo Saka sends a message to Arsenal’s detractors

It must a wonderful feeling for the fans to have witnessed Saka’s rise from a talented youngster to a potential legend and Premier League winner for Arsenal.

In Mikel Arteta’s early days, the club were struggling and looking light years away from winning the league.

However, Arsenal have made history and Saka had a message after their title triumph was confirmed in a video shared by TNT Sports.

“Let me tell you something. 22 years, they were laughing at us, they were joking, they’re not laughing anymore. Look, it’s going to be shiny, look, it’s going to be shining bright.

“Wooh!”

matchday.
