Aston Villa technician Morgan Rogers could represent a statement signing for Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
Rogers is open to joining Arsenal but the Gunners have question marks about his arrival due to the presence of attacking midfielders like Martin Odegaard and Eberechi Eze in their squad.
However, it is easy to see why the 23-year-old appeals to the Premier League champions as he is a tremendous carrier of the ball, technically gifted and a sharp shooter.
As much as Mikel Arteta admires Rogers, the move will ultimately depend on Villa’s willingness to sell their talisman.
Aston Villa do not want to sell Arsenal target Morgan Rogers
The Athletic journalist Jacob Tanswell has revealed that multiple sources have informed them that it is likely that Arsenal target Rogers leaves Aston Villa this summer.
However, Tanswell added that ‘senior sources’ at Villa intend to keep the Englishman at the club. Rogers is open to leaving Aston Villa but the positive for Unai Emery’s side is his contract expires in 2030.

The Villans are aware that to comply with financial rules and regulations, they will have to sell players to bolster their squad building and the midfielder remains their prized asset.
The one major complication for Aston Villa is that Rogers’ former club Middlesbrough have a 20% sell-on clause, which is a factor they will have to take into consideration when finalising his asking price.
Other Villa players’ representatives believe that the club could demand in excess of £100 million for Rogers, who Chelsea have shortlisted as a starting price.
Morgan Rogers has already revealed his feelings about Arsenal as a team
Rogers raved about Arsenal as a team after Aston Villa lost 4-1 to them in December., admitting that Mikel Arteta’s side are the best in the Premier League.
“The better team won. That’s why Arsenal are top, they are the best team.
“It’s nothing bad to lose 4-1 to the best team in the league”
