Arsenal have discussed moves for Ferran Torres and Nico Williams as Mikel Arteta searches for another attacking addition.
Bournemouth forward Eli Junior Kroupi also remains under consideration, although his £85million valuation could prove difficult to justify.
Mail Sport reports that Torres has been suggested to Arsenal during the summer window. The Barcelona forward offers experience across the front line and previously worked under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.
Torres can play from either wing or through the middle. However, Arsenal will only consider a deal if Barcelona’s demands fit within their valuation.
There is also growing belief that Williams could reconsider his future at Athletic Bilbao. The Spain international signed a long-term contract last year, but Arsenal have continued to monitor his situation.
Arsenal winger targets depend on price
Arsenal made fresh contact over Williams earlier this week. His contract reportedly contains a release clause worth around £77million, although the Gunners have not submitted a formal offer.
Williams would give Arteta a natural left winger who can isolate defenders and attack space. His pace would also add a different threat against teams that defend with a high line.
Kroupi offers more positional flexibility. The 20-year-old can operate from the left or centrally, but Bournemouth are thought to value him at £85million.
Arsenal have admired Kroupi for some time. However, the club recently refused to match Chelsea’s £117million offer for Morgan Rogers after maintaining a clear valuation of their own.
That approach is likely to continue. Torres may represent the more affordable option, while Williams offers proven elite quality and Kroupi provides long-term potential.
Arsenal are keeping several routes open, but any move will depend on value. Arteta wants another forward, although the club will not overpay simply to complete a marquee signing.
