Lyon to offer Lacazette club record deal

Arsenal need a striker, this is probably the worst kept secret in football right now. Alexandre Lacazette has been heavily linked with Arsenal over the last few weeks but as of yet, no deal has been struck.

Lyon are battling hard to keep their star front man and it looks like it’s going to get even harder for Arsenal. According to Get French Football News, Lyon will offer Lacazette a club record deal to keep him at the club.

Arsenal had made an initial £30 million bud but it was rejected as it was very much below the fee Lyon want for the striker. Indeed, Arsenal must increase their bid closer to £40 million.

Arsenal have been the front-runners for Lacazette, with West Ham and PSG also showing interest.

Although Lyon are set to offer Lacazette a new contract, Get French Football News also highlights that both clubs are directly talking about a fee.

Time will tell on this one.
