‘Everything can happen’ – Rodri fires Arsenal warning as title race takes dramatic twist

Rodri has warned Arsenal that the Premier League title race is far from over.

The Manchester City midfielder believes the Gunners could still drop points in the final two games. As a result, City remain firmly in the hunt.

Arsenal sit top of the table. However, the margin remains tight. Therefore, pressure continues to build heading into the final stretch.

Rodri fires Arsenal warning ahead of decisive title run-in

Rodri made his position clear after Manchester City’s FA Cup final win. He insisted Arsenal cannot relax.

He told reporters (via Hayters TV):

“Everything can happen. We need them to drop points. It can happen in the next game or the last game.”

He also stressed how difficult it is to close out a title race.

“If I was in their position, it is not easy to finish the task. We have to be there pushing until the end.”

Therefore, City will keep applying pressure. They know one mistake could change everything.

Arsenal fixtures leave no room for error

Arsenal face Burnley at home before travelling to Crystal Palace on the final day. On paper, the fixtures look favourable. However, nothing feels straightforward at this stage.

Meanwhile, Manchester City travel to Bournemouth before hosting Aston Villa. Both matches carry risk.

Importantly, Rodri pointed to City’s past experience. He showed how quickly momentum can shift.

“From our experience, we were losing the title against Aston Villa in minute 80. So everything can happen in football.”

Arsenal have shown resilience all season. They delivered in key moments during big matches, which has kept them in control of the race.

Why Arsenal must block out the noise and finish the job

Despite Rodri’s warning, Arsenal remain in control. The title stays in their hands.

However, the challenge now becomes mental. The squad must stay calm. At the same time, they must stay ruthless.

Recent results highlight the risk. Manchester City dropped points at Everton. Meanwhile, Arsenal had to stay composed to secure a narrow win at West Ham.

Therefore, Arteta will keep the message simple. Focus on the next game. Ignore everything else.

Squad focus also matters. That becomes even more important given that a key Arsenal loanee could leave the club this summer, which highlights the need for depth during this period.

If Arsenal handle the pressure, they will win the title. If not, City will be ready to strike.

matchday.
