At a Glance:

  • Noni Madueke boldly says Arsenal will lift one trophy next season.
  • Madueke taunts Arsenal’s rivals.
  • Mikel Arteta will be unhappy.

Noni Madueke’s debut season at Arsenal has been fruitful as he has won the Premier League title and reached the Champions League and Carabao Cup finals.

Madueke had a decent campaign under Mikel Arteta but in the following season, he would be desperate to kick on and become a more regular fixture in the starting XI.

However, the England international has been a solid understudy to Bukayo Saka and as recently as in the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain as well, he was bright off the bench.

Madueke mocked Arsenal’s rivals at their recent trophy parade and once again, he expressed a warning for them.

Noni Madueke promises Arsenal will win the Premier League next season

At Arsenal’s trophy parade, Madueke promised that Arsenal will win the title next season.

The 24-year-old said: “We’re going to run it back, trust me, we’re going to run it back!”

Madueke knew Arsenal would succeed last season from day one and he taunted the Gunners’ rivals by claiming that they have no chance of winning the league over his side.

“I don’t even know what our rivals are doing…they’re just participating. That’s it!”

Mikel Arteta will be unhappy with Noni Madueke

From Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta’s standpoint, he would have every right to be unhappy with Madueke’s message as he seems to be getting ahead of himself even before the start of next season. There is no denying that Arteta and Co look favourites to win the league title in the 2026/2027 campaign.

Pep Guardiola has left Manchester City, with Enzo Maresca rumoured to replace him, Michael Carrick and Roberto De Zerbi will head into their first full seasons at Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur respectively, Liverpool are set to bring in Arne Slot’s replacement and Xabi Alonso has joined Chelsea.

Arsenal’s rivals are certainly not as stable as they are but Mikel Arteta would perhaps not appreciate the fact that Madueke’s claim suggests he is underestimating others instead of staying focused on winning.

matchday.
